Cultural philosopher and critic J. Baudrillard argues the very existence of reality in the metaphysical sense has disappeared - the principle of reality is dead. And therefore a new stage is reached, what he called the ‘ultra-reality’ the end of reality and illusion, as the ‘symbolic substance’ annihilates due to the ‘identical doubling’ and ‘mirroring’ of the real into the virtual. The real is ‘cloned’ by ‘virtual reality’. As the subject from reality is projected onto the virtual, its meaning, the symbolic substance disappears, along with its reality and illusion. The subject is now in the ‘ultra reality’ stage.
